Korea : Seoul, Busan, Gyeongju and Daejeon

I never thought i will like Korea. Whenever, my boss ask who wants to go for training or meetings at Korea, I will just smirk. "Sorry not interested". Poyo much rite? :p

Anyway went there for the first time last year, and been there twice after, seriously Korea taken me by surprise. All i can say Korea is fusion. Its a mix of modern, traditional, Western and nature all mashed into this one all-in-one country.

When u go to Europe, the cities tend to look alike after awhile. Korea is like that too, but at the same time the cities that i went had different vibe in all of it. One thing for sure Korea is very safe, super safe. U can leave your belongings and it wont go missing. The food is good. The fusion or authentic korean food is yummy. Not a fan of kimchi still.

Gyeongju
During autumn Gyeongju is really beautiful. I stayed at Hyundai Hotel with the background of a lake and mountains. Really beautiful and peaceful.

*hint: my first date with my husband was here

Went to Bulguksa Temple which is Unesco Heritage Site takes my breath away.

U should come here during autumn. at least once.

And i luv the beach here, it is quite a drive but the beach here is gorgeous and i have a thing with the beach, maybe im just biased, the rocks at the beach is beautiful.

Busan
Lovely modern town with its own unique character. The Gamcheon Culture Village (Art Village) which looks like Santorini, is one of a kind. I love it here. Really good memories. Really sweet memories. Really colorful. My kind of quirky village.

Koreans are obsessed with coffee at most of the coffee places here are by the beach. Sipping coffee indoor as it is too cold, and having great conversation with great company is just perfect.

The bridge is also very pretty at night, cant remember the name of the bridge, walking and just do what most do: people watching :)

Seoul

Seoul Tower and the Love Keychains is cliche, but it reminds me of the Pont De Arts at Paris.. So please come and be cliched..

Itaewon, great walk, great people watching and lots of halal food and the only mosque is here. A big one :).. Come and pray here.

The War Museum, is simply awesome. Wish that i had more time here. Dont walk from Itaewon its too far. Take a cab, im pemalas u know.

Then go to Dongdaemun and shop for clothes. I went crazy there, but went with my husband, so mode crazy was on a behave mode.

Namdaemun is fun, lots of souvenirs and brooches and everything.. when it comes to shopping i cant write. Because my brain is not functioning.

Insadong is another art alley which i love as well.. Absorb the art and culture and u will be cultured :) *whatever right*

Gyeongguksa Temple in the middle of Seoul with the gardens, and changing of guards during the weekend is very interesting, but once is enough for me. The gardens and if the weather is nice, just sitting down by the gardens and chill.

Daejeon

Truth is when it comes to Daejeon, I cant write much, as i went there for work and to be with my husband. So the only thing i remember is cycling at KAIST and the side of the lake. Luv the coffee shop "Art De Espresso" I think at the national park. Went there for a hike, my first ever and subhanallah, lawa sgt eventhough i was semput already. Besides that, Daejeon is a nice university town, everything is there.

Enough about Korea, I think... Will update if i go to Jeju or skiing there one day. Btw, my husband is there. Im not a KPOP fan tau that i go there all the time.

is enough is enough?

“There’s something amazing about this life. The very same

worldly attribute that causes us pain is also what gives us

relief: Nothing here lasts. What does that mean? It means

that the breathtakingly beautiful rose in my vase will

wither tomorrow. It means that my youth will neglect me.

But it also means that the sadness I feel today will change

tomorrow. My pain will die. My laughter won’t last forever

but neither will my tears.

We say this life isn’t perfect.

And it isn’t. It isn’t perfectly good. But, it also isn’t

perfectly bad, either.”

one thing about people.. we never appreciate things, people, blessings or anything that Allah bestowed upon us.. instead we tend to look or compare our life with others or just psychoanalysis about everything.. This is when the peace that u r looking for, u wont find it, because u r looking at the wrong place..

to actually be grateful with what we have either your spouse, family, job, friends or whatever you already have been blessed with sometimes you just need a knock in the head to actually say, "Alhamdulillah. for everything", you are alive today, you are breathing.. Make full use of the life that God gave you.. make it for good use.. be grateful, be happy and never have regrets.. because our past and future is planned by God.. trust Him.. and you will be at peace..

This is also for my own reminder... because i do have my moments when everything feels so hard.. so unwanted.. so neglected.. but why am i thinking this way, when Allah is nearer than our jugular veins.. he is nearer to us than we think He is..always go to Him.. talk to Him.. he is always there for us..

TV series

the original cast of Grey's Anatomy...excluding Dr. Burke

when we talk about TV series there must be at least one TV series that will definitely pop into your head..my all time fave TV series is grey's anatomy. i mean i followed the series from Season 1 to the current season and ill b downloading it right after it was aired in the States. Seriously hands down Grey's Anatomy is my fav, with all its unexpected storyline, truthful quotes written by Shonda Rhimes and her team. i love it. they do have its up and downs season..but usually the next season they will pick up immediately and make it better. its countless how many times i cried because of the heartwarming, gut wrenching, touch u 2 da core episodes of grey's anatomy. one of the quotes that i lurve from the series taken from the latest season " Meredith: After a trauma, your body is at its most vulnerable. Response time is critical. So you're suddenly surrounded by people—doctors, nurses, specialists, technicians—surgery is a team sport. Everyone pushing for the finish line. Putting you back together again. But surgery is a trauma in and of itself, and once it's over, the real healing begins. It's called recovery. Recovery is not a team sport. It's a solitary distance run. It's long. It's exhausting. And it's lonely as hell".

i do feel this quote. seriously this quote can b apply in many ways either recovering from an accident, trauma, divorce,break-up,losing ur job, losing ur loved ones it can apply 2 all situation. and that's y i lurve this particular quote. recovering is not as easy job. Nevertheless, back to TV series..what is ur all time fave? do u still remember X-Files, Ally Mcbeal, obviously Friends, Sex and the City, Lost, How  i met your mother (hilarious), the Vampire Diaries, Tudors, the Sopranos, Desperate Housewives, Glee i mean i can go on and on talking about series..but do tell me which TV series will pop into your head when asked what is ur fav?

The Intouchables

Its obvious like on the poster this a True Story.. If you notice from my previous post, my type of movies are not so typical and for me this is one of the best movies that ive watched for a long time.. its a french movie by the way..

Its a bout a guy who is paraplegic-

para·ple·gia - Webster

 noun \ˌpa-rə-ˈplē-j(ē-)ə\
medical : a condition in which you are permanently unable to move or feel your legs and the lower half of your body because of injury or illness

and was looking for some sort of a male nurse to take care of him.. The black guy went for the interview just for the sake of the parole requirement and he got the job instead despite no professional training.

This movie portray  how unconventional friendship can be developed despite the differences and how both of  them help each other to be a better person I love feel good movie and this is definitely a great one.. sometimes when you are down and you need a boost, i encourage you to watch this movie..

I watched this movie early 2012 and as you can see i was quiet for some time but this movie worth to blogged about.

Jason Mraz - fav singer

One of the most memorable event in my life, is everytime i managed to catch Jason Mraz live, he will  better than before. Last year I went to see him in Bali in 2011 and in 2012 he is back to Malaysia with Love is Four Letter Word Tour. This is his best concert ever. I miss Toca Riviera his backup singer as well as Percussionist as well best buddy. But the new lineup except the trombone guys, were definitely awesome..and catch my video of stalking him at the airport. Jason forever you will be the best singer+songwriter. I miss your old stuff though but 93 Millions Miles, In your hands and Be Honest is very close to my heart.

Christopher Nolan

Christopher Nolan a true craft director and creator , which capture all these movies into a box office hits. My first Nolan movie was Memento where i watch in high school, and all i can remember, that was one cool movie.
After that, he directed Dark Knight starting with Batman Begins. Christian Bale whom I used to be sceptical to take the role as Bruce Wayne/Dark Knight, seriously nailed it. For me my fav Batman will always be Michael Keaton, but Christian Bale took his spot and make it more broody with less humor. I just don't like the serak voice that's all. Christopher Nolan when it comes to casting is always spot on except for Katie Holmes though..I think from the Batman Trilogy all the actors were raised to a pedestal after their excellent potrayal of each character. And forever we will remember Heath Ledger as Joker compared to Jack Nicholson as Joker from Tim Burton, Batman. Both were equally good but from different aspect. Heath took Joker to crazy insane on the next level, whole Jack the evil  clowny Joker. All in all, Dark Knight trilogy will make wonders and had already reached a cult status that even my grandchildren will appreciate this trilogy as I appreciate Star Wars and Lord of the Rings trilogy. From what I gather, I will always look forward for more Christopher Nolan movies..and rest in peace to the victims in Aurora as well as Heath Ledger during the making of this trilogy and after.
